Be ready to learn

Student behavior is managed using a behavior color code system.

VLES 2019 Daily Behavior Color Code

Purple        Exceptional Behavior
Green         Ready to learn
Yellow        Verbal warning
Orange       Loss of recess
Red             Parent contact required

Any other infraction after parent contact has been made will result in an office referral. There is an official referral form that will need to be completed.

Each day the color resets to Green.

A special activity will be scheduled at the end of most months to reward students who have maintained a behavior record of  at least 10 days on green or purple with no reds during the month leading up to the activity.  Parents will receive notification in advance of the special dress up days if your child is eligible to participate.
