Thanks for sharing your child with us this year at Vidalia Lower.  We wish you a safe and happy summer.  Keep them reading and writing, adding and subtracting, counting money and telling time, exercising and having fun. PTO Read-a-thon Raises $1,454.12 for library books!

Our 2019 Read-a-thon results:
29 students participated and $1,454.12 was collected.
All students who participated won a participation prize, which included a READ cup, a bookmark, a slap bracelet, and a Read-a-thon bragtag with a thank you note for participating.
The top four earners will also receive a $25 Wal-Mart gift card courtesy of the VIdalia Women's Club.

Mrs. Dunn named VLE's 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Mrs. Sandy Dunn, who has been chosen as Vidalia Lower's Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year. Mrs. Dunn is a Special Needs teacher who has been an educator for 32 years. This is her 18th school year at Vidalia Lower. She is a champion for all students, but special needs students hold a special place in her heart because each one is unique and special. She says that she learns as much from her students as she hopes they learn from her. Congratulations, Mrs. Dunn.

Thanks For Record Setting Book Fair!

Thanks to our students, parents, grandparents, faculty and staff for making our recent Library Book Fair a huge success! We had the highest sales ever, and the profit from those sales will fund the library program this year!!! Many thanks.

Congratulations, Ms. Mingee, selected as one of the top 3 Louisiana Elementary Teachers of the Year!

Vidalia Lower is proud to announce that our school librarian, Ms. Susan Mingee, has been named one of the top 3 Louisiana Elementary Teacher of the Year finalists in the 2019 Louisiana State Teacher of the Year program. Ms. Mingee was honored at the Cecil J. Picard Awards Gala where she received commendations from Governor John Bel Edwards and the Louisiana Department of Education, as well as several prizes and an invitation to join the elite National Network of Teachers of the Year Association. Way to go, Miss Mingee!
